We have planted over 20,000 trees in and around the eco-sanctuary to combat deforestation and preserve the natural habitat of wildlife. Our afforestation efforts have also helped in mitigating the effects of climate change by reducing the carbon footprint.
Solar lighting techniques: To reduce our dependence on non-renewable energy sources, we have installed solar panels throughout the eco-sanctuary to harness the power of the sun. By employing a large percentage of staff, workers, and contractors from the local communities, Greenhavens ensures that the economic benefits of the project reach those who need it the most.
The construction, running, and maintenance of the ecotel by an international hotel chain or brand will not only provide direct employment but also act as a boost to the resort allied industry that acts as a supplier to the resort for its efficient operations. This economic boost will indirectly help fund infrastructure developments for the local communities. Greenhavens is committed to ensuring that its employment policy is fair and equitable and does not discriminate on the basis of gender. In case of the death or retirement of an employee, their children will be offered the job as per the employment policy. The aim is to provide long-term, sustainable employment opportunities that benefit the local communities.
Furthermore, the resort is also running a vocational education and training program for the professional development of young females from the economically weaker class.
